The interior design studio aimed to create a space that distinguished “itself from interpretations of retail as part of the mundane, instead of viewing fashion as an articulation of the extraordinary.”
The retail space is situated in a heritage-listed location, which means every single change was carefully calculated. The Studio’s claim “We were fortunate that the existing interior embodied beautiful original features such as ornate cornices and decorative columns.”
The original colours – soft pink and green – provided the interior designers the opportunity to enhance the existing features with a graphic punch of deeper colour tones in the same palette. The blue mirror adds a new dimension to the space, throwing a new colour into the mix to disrupt the store.
