Casework, an Oregon based design studio, focused on interiors and how they are experienced, turned a 20th-century building in Portland, into a collaborative hub for a digital product agency.
The digital agency Work & Co teamed up with the interior designers firm to design the space on the city’s 5th Avenue to accommodate its growing team. Their aim was to create a flexible space that adapted to the agency’s working habits.
The project founder believes that “the power of design is real and our goal is to understand your needs and ideas, then translate them into a room, home, retail store, photo shoot or brand”.
Work & Co is now designed as an open-plan office: the rooms are partitioned with glass to offer privacy while maintaining a visual connection and there also small spaces for quiet work ou private calls.
This new collaborative workspace combines white-painted walls, exposed concrete flooring and maple wood details that run throughout to bring continuity to a mix of gathering spaces, desk workspaces, and meeting rooms.
