There’s a new lightning collection as Beem intends to reshape the world of lightbulbs through innovative combinations of pure form and LED Technology.
The two design lines were revealed by their British designer Samuel Wilkinson, which has partnered up with LED-lighting specialists Chris Stimson and Bujar Shkodra, founders of bulb manufacturer Well Lit.
According to Wilkinson “the bulb market is saturated with retro styling – it’s good to create something different”. Stimson meets Wilkinson by stating that the team fiercely wanted “to challenge what existed, and still exist, in our industry and the perceptions of what’s possible in terms of design and performance,” said Stimson.
There were created lamps in two different shapes: The Smile lamp that boasts a simple graphic design comprised of a single glass bar of light fitted with a flexible filament; and The Curli lamp, inspired by the decorative twist found in calligraphy and that was designed to look like a swirl of light.
